As a result there appears a dialog window that is asking you whether you would like to put the file into the trash or whether you would like to keep the song on your computer but still want to remove it from the "iTunes library" That would mean that the file in question will remain saved on your computer but you will not be able to play the song in "iTunes", at least not before would be going to re-import it at some time in the future.

Provided the rare case, that's why we chose this example, that you would indeed like to do keep the file, you can proceed as usual and use the "Return Key" to perform the task. The vast majority of your customers and acquaintances prefers to move the file to the trash since they usually want to delete a duplicate, erroneous, bad or wrong song from iTunes as well as from their computer.
